The State Fair of Texas has been a tradition in North Texas since 1886! As one of the longest running and highest attended fairs in America, we’re sure you have already gotten your tickets. In case you haven’t, you can buy your State Fair of Texas general admission with
GoPass and
save two dollars on every fair ticket! DART is bringing you the top 5 ways to make 2017’s fair visit the best one yet.
Did you know there’s a light rail station at the front gate of the Fairgrounds on the Green Line? Additionally, the MLK, Jr. Station can also get you to the Fair dropping you off a short walk from Gate 6. It’s easy to hop on the
Green Line to get you to the Fair Park Station and the MLK, Jr. Station. Families and riders coming from other rail lines or the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) can transfer downtown to a Green Line train headed towards Buckner, Lawnview, or Fair Park.
DART provides reduced fares for seniors, persons with disabilities, and Medicare card holders. You can buy a DART pass at a rail station, with cash on a bus, or on our DART GoPass app.
The
DART Say Something Safety and Security App is new and offers anyone who’s riding on public transit a safe and discreet way to report concerns to DART Police. Download from the App Store or Google Play today by searching “DART Say Something.” If you don’t have a smartphone, no worries! Text a tip to 214-256-1819.
You can take advantage of DART even if you drive! Park for FREE at DART transit centers or rail stations with Park & Ride lots. You can take a look at all locations

Take advantage of all the fair has to offer this year, knowing that you have a safe and reliable way to get home.
For adults, there are great craft beer locations and the State Fair Wine Garden. Remember, if you’re drinking please don’t drive. Instead, consider using DART as a way to get home.
