deep-ellum-dlink-006_edit The bright magenta and yellow buses making their way around Downtown Dallas and beyond are hard to miss. Known as D-Link, DART Route 722 connects people to arts, fun, culture and dining, as well as residential and employment destinations. D-Link is free, thanks to a partnership between DART, the city of Dallas and Downtown Dallas, Inc. And with about 15-minute frequencies and direct connections to downtown destinations such as the American Airlines Center, Kylde Warren Park, Perot Museum of Nature and Science, the Sixth Floor Museum, Dallas Arts District and more, it’s a cinch to spend a day or evening exploring Dallas without the need for a vehicle. Most recently, the D-Link began service to two booming urban neighborhoods: Deep Ellum and the Dallas Farmers Market. Best experienced on foot, Deep Ellum is a neighborhood with a distinctive personality. This funky, artsy district offers a lively, eclectic mix of restaurants, galleries, music venues and shops. The Dallas Farmers Market features an impressive roster of more than a dozen restaurants serving a diverse range of cuisines sure to suit all palates. Other merchants feature artisanal foods, antiques, apparel, gifts and home décor. The D-Link is designed to complement other public transit services, including DART Rail and bus service, the M-Line Trolley and Trinity Railway Express. D-Link operates Monday-Saturday, from 11 a.m. - 11:30 p.m. Customers needing schedule information can call DART’s Customer Information Center at 214-979-1111. D-Link route and schedule information can be found at DART.org/Dlink.
