Have you marked your calendar and registered to attend the Older Americans Information and Health Fair? What are you waiting for?! We know you’ll have a great time!
The event will be held Thursday, May 10, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Centennial Hall in Fair Park. Centennial Hall is an easy walk from DART’s Fair Park Station on the Green Line, and a shuttle also will be available at the rail station to take you to the entrance.
Here are three reasons why you should grab your DART pass and join us:
- Socialize – Get out of the house, spend time with friends and meet new people. Social interaction and staying active extends your life and improves your quality of life.
- Learn – Discover resources, activities and programs for seniors. Take advantage of free health screenings and wellness information. Experience riding DART and visiting Fair Park.
- Be Active – Get out on the dance floor with music provided by DJ Baron Bacon, play fun games, and visit the vendor booths. Plus enjoy a good meal, entertainment and giveaways.
This free, annual event is hosted by DART, in partnership with the Community Council of Greater Dallas/Dallas Area Agency on Aging, the city of Dallas, and the Dallas Police Department. Media partners include NBC 5, Telemundo 39, The Dallas Morning News, Al Día, Seniorific News and Seniors Blue Book.
