Dallas Bike Ride, a closed-road, recreational bicycle event that celebrates bicycling as a form of healthy living, fitness, transportation and fun, is Nov. 3, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Registration for this family-friendly event is now available online at
dallasbikeride.com.
The ride starts at 8 a.m. at City Hall and the Finish Festival take place until 12:30 p.m. at City Hall Plaza.
This annual event is an opportunity to enjoy a fun and recreational ride with friends and family. Bicyclists of all ages (3 years and older) and all riding abilities can participate.
The best way to get to Dallas Bike Ride is on DART. Take the Red, Blue, Orange or Green line into downtown Dallas and get off at Akard Station. It’s a short bike ride from there.
Remember, the center section of each rail vehicle has low floors that are level with the platform – perfect bringing on your bicycle.
Make sure you have downloaded DART’s GoPass® app. It takes the hassle out of buying a transit pass. Reduced fares are available for children ages 5-14, and children under the age of 5 may ride free when accompanied by an adult with valid local, regional or reduced fare. Fare information is available at DART.org/fares, as well as in the app.
The app is free, and you can download it from either the App Store or Google Play store.
