This Sunday, Dec. 14, tens of thousands will descend upon downtown Dallas for the MetroPCS Dallas Marathon. No matter where you're from and whether you’re running, volunteering or cheering, DART can help you get there.
The
West End Station (served by Red, Blue, Orange and Green lines) is the key stop for anyone trying to get to the starting line. Plan your trip and buy your tickets in advance with the
GoPass℠ app.
If you're a spectator hoping to catch a runner along the route,
Mockingbird Station (Red, Blue and Orange lines) will get you less than a mile away from mile 7 along the full and half marathon routes.
White Rock Station (Blue Line) will put you a mile north of mile markers 13, which is a turn-around point for the full marathon runners.
For those looking to meet up with runners at the end of the race, the
Convention Center Station (Red and Blue lines) is at the front door of the finisher's expo.
For other DART riders trying to avoid the madness, please be advised that the
26.2-mile course is causing some disruptions in service. Between approximately 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., Green Line rail service will be suspended between Baylor University Medical Center and Fair Park stations. Customers traveling in either direction between stations to use DART bus shuttles. A number of bus routes also will
experience detours during the race. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Best of luck to everyone running or involved in the race.
