Gain inspiration for your next DARTable journey when you view the 32 pieces of art from DART’s 2019 Student Art Contest at the Courtyard Theater in Plano through Aug. 5.
With the theme, “My next stop is _______,” each piece interprets a forthcoming DARTable adventure.
Discover what your future could hold in former Dallas ISD ninth grader, Sarah Thigpen’s, Best of Show winning piece. Or, set your sights on out-of-this-world scenes, like in former Highland Park ISD sixth grader, Yincheng Qian‘s piece.
You could even take a visual dive into ocean life adventures when you see former Addison private school ninth grader, Christine Yan’s work. Or, plan where you can travel with friends when you view former Plano ISD ninth grader, Saher Kamal’s piece.
For the second year in a row, you can find the works of art on display at the theater’s Gallery @ Courtyard, an exhibition space for North Texas artists.
Ride the Red or Orange Line to Downtown Plano Station and the Courtyard Theater sits a short walk away, across Haggard Park.
Can’t make it out to the theatre in person? Visit DART.org/StudentArtContest to view the artwork online and to learn more about DART’s Student Art Contest.

Building a Better Experience for You!
DART is making major improvements. To create a smoother ride through downtown Dallas and reduce service interruptions, track improvements are under way and will continue until September. During that time, DART Rail in Downtown Dallas will be discontinued each weekend between Pearl/Arts District and West End stations. Bus bridges will be in operation. DART.org/plus
