Mockingbird Music Festival rides one more time for the summer, from 4-7 p.m. just off the mezzanine of Mockingbird Station. Tonight, Jordan Caine & Friends take the stage with the sounds of cosmic country. There's plenty of food at the family-friendly events, too -- including free cotton candy.

Third Eye Blind has just about outlived the term alternative rock, and they’re still rockin’. The band was huge in the ‘90s with songs like “Semi-Charmed Life.” Catch them tonight at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory – about a 10-minute walk from Irving Convention Center Station on the Orange Line. Also, on the bill is Jimmy Eat World, another alt-rock mainstay.

Klyde Warren Park's Summer Movie Series rolls again with a real crowd-pleaser: “Incredibles 2.” Catch the Pixar classic at about 8:30 p.m. Or get there early and grab some dinner at one of the numerous food trucks. The park is about a 10-minute walk north from St. Paul Station. The M-Line trolley can take you right to the park.

Texas Latino Comic Con highlights the work of Latino artists and writers. They'll be on hand to share their work and their passion at the Latino Cultural Center from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. In addition to meeting some of the movers and shakers of the comics world, attendees are invited to participate in a Latino character cosplay contest. The kid-friendly event is free; the venue is only a block or two from Deep Ellum Station on the Green Line.

Basically Beethoven Festival concludes for the year after today’s performance. The Fine Arts Chamber Players presents the free chamber music series each year, and today’s installment is a good one. At 2:30 p.m., see the Rising Start duo of violinist Anais Feller and pianist Ellas Tran. The Feature Performance at 3 p.m. features a flute quartet led by Margaret Fischer. Your last chance to see this year’s festival happens at the Moody Coliseum in the Dallas Arts District. It’s about a 9- or 10-minute walk from Pearl/Arts District Station.

A couple of stage performances have their last show today.

Old Jews Telling Jokes showcases five actors paying homage to the rich tradition of Jewish humor and reinventing classic jokes. Today there will be both matinee and evening performances. Catch this tribute to the past at the Eisemann Center, which is practically right next to Galatyn Park Station.

Godspell is a trusty old favorite that enjoyed a limited-engagement production by WaterTower Theatre. Inspired by the gospels of Matthew and Luke, the play is an entertaining take on Biblical stories, presented through a pop-, folk-, and gospel-inspired score – including the '70s hit “Day by Day.” Today’s matinee is your last chance to see the hippie-era classic. The theater is about an 8-minute walk from Addison Transit Center, served by numerous buses. #YourRideThisWeekend #BBF

Building a Better Experience for You! DART is making major improvements. To create a smoother ride through downtown Dallas and reduce service interruptions, track improvements are under way and will continue until September. During that time, DART Rail in Downtown Dallas will be discontinued each weekend between Pearl/Arts District and West End stations. Bus bridges will be in operation. Learn more at DART.org/plus.
