Bittersweet GoPass Man Retires, DART Welcomes New Version
Posted on May 11, 2018 by lwebbmanondartorg
DART held a retirement party today for its original GoPass man. The agency first introduced its mobile ticketing app more than four years ago. While the app has served riders well, DART will roll out a more robust version of its GoPass mobile ticketing application next week.
The enhanced app offers more features, including cash to mobile. At hundreds of retail locations, customers will be able to load value onto the GoPass Wallet in their app account using cash, which can be used to purchase tickets on DART, Trinity Railway Express, Trinity Metro and the Denton County Transportation Authority.
The enhanced app offers real-time trip planning, so you will know exactly where your bus or train is on a route in real-time, allowing you to better plan your trip. Other new GoPass options allow customers to use "Touch ID" for quicker security acceptance, send receipts to an email address, view various events and offers, and save their favorite stations, stops and passes - making viewing vehicle arrivals and departures quicker.
GoPass is free to download or update from the Apple App Store or Google Play store.
