Stone Temple Pilots, Tonic and Vertical Horizon will headline this year’s Festival at the Switchyard in Historic Downtown Carrollton. DART is the best way to get there.
This is the ninth year for this free event, which is Nov. 3, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Festival goers enjoy concerts, live children’s entertainment, and a variety of food vendors and unique downtown restaurants, as well as festival booths and the eclectic shops surrounding the square.
The event also offers a beer garden, free face painting and balloon art, free arts and crafts, and free rides and games, including bungee trampolines, a zip line, a giant fun slide, and more.
The city is encouraging festival goers to park at the North Carrollton/Frankford Station or the Trinity Mills Station and ride DART to the Festival site, as parking is extremely limited.
Parking also is available at other DART transit centers and rail stations. Locate one near you at DART.org/parking.
Purchase your transit pass on DART’s DART’s GoPass® app. The real-time trip planning tool in the app will make getting to the festival easy.
You can download the app to your smartphone for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play store.
