DART invites senior citizens to get on board and get informed at the 2018 Older Americans Month Information and Health Fair, Thursday, May 10, at the Centennial Building at
Fair Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
DART hosts the free, annual event in partnership with the Community Council of Greater Dallas/Dallas Area Agency on Aging, the city of Dallas, and the Dallas Police Department. Media partners include NBC 5, Telemundo 39, The Dallas Morning News, Al Día, Seniorific News and Seniors Blue Book.
DART has organized what has become one of the largest senior events in North Texas for 24 years to help bring attention to the issues that affect older adults and to provide them with complimentary lunch, information, entertainment, health screenings and prizes.
The 2018 theme,
Engage at Every Age, emphasizes that you are never too old (or young) to take part in activities that can enrich your physical, mental and emotional well-being. The theme also celebrates the many ways in which older adults make a difference in our communities.
Attendees are encouraged to ride public transit to the event. DART's
Green Line is the easiest way to
Fair Park Station where it's a short walk to Centennial Hall.
