There are diverse offerings for fun this weekend – from markets, to festivals, to yoga with goats (yes, you read that right). Check it out:
Friday, Oct. 13
Rescue Goat Yoga takes place at Dallas Farmers Market and benefits local charities. Exercise, animals and positive people are all stress-relievers, and all three will be on hand at this unique event. Enjoy an outdoor yoga class while pygmy/dwarf goats interact with you. Need more reasons to go? How about adult beverages, delicious food from Rex's Seafood and live music? Throw a few vendors into the bargain, and you've got a perfect Friday evening lined up.
Also in the Farmers Market, The Boho Market is an eclectic community of artisans and makers bringing local, handcrafted goods together at a family friendly community event. Hours are 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Dallas Farmers Market is right on the D-Link (Route 722).
Saturday, Oct. 14
Plano International Festival showcases the rich cultural diversity of Plano and of our region. You'll find multicultural displays, entertainment, food and activities. There's a Children's Global Village, a fashion show, food trucks, a Fitness and Wellness Fair, and performers galore. It all takes place in Haggard Park, immediately adjacent to Downtown Plano Station.
Sunday, Oct. 15
It’s the last performance of Titus Andronicus, Shakespeare's first tragedy and one of his goriest plays. It's the story of Titus, a Roman general, who is engaged in a cycle of revenge with Tamora, Queen of the Goths. The performance happens at Addison Circle Park, near Addison Transit Center.
