Friday, Sept. 4

Music Made Here is Garland's concert series showcasing local singers and bands. The area surrounding Downtown Garland Square is full of restaurants where you can grab a bite or a sip. Tonight, check out Jimmy Wallace & the Mighty, led by the renowned guitarist who founded the Dallas International Guitar Festival. The event is easily walkable from the Blue Line’s Downtown Garland Station.

Friday, Sept. 4-Saturday, Sept. 5

Grapevine Main Live! is an autumn event featuring free concerts from area tribute bands. There are a total of 16 acts over two nights. The Friday  headliner is Dallas Boston Xperience (Boston). On Saturday , it’s Turnpike Tributedours (Turnpike Troubadours). To get there, take the Silver Line to DFW Airport North Station, then transfer to TEXRail to Grapevine/Main Street Station. The event takes place in Peace Plaza, right next to the station.

Leah Rudick has built a devoted fanbase of nearly 2 million followers on social media platforms. The Los Angeles-based comedian has many television appearances to her credit, and tonight she brings her standup to Dallas Comedy Club. That’s walkable from Baylor University Medical Center Station on the Green Line.

CityLine Live presents live music under the stars. Bring a blanket or grab a patio seat at one of CityLine’s many restaurants. On Friday evening, enjoy the “Texi-Cali Soul” stylings of Carson Lewis. Saturday is ’90s country night with Mike Randall. CityLine Plaza is a very short walk from CityLine Station on the Red Line.

Riverfront Jazz Festival features performers ranging from jazz to pop, soul, R&B, blues, and neo-soul. The Black Academy of Arts and Letters' ninth annual event takes place on two stages – one in the Automobile Building and one in the Centennial Building at Fair Park. Notable names include Gladys Knight, Samara Joy, and Rose Royce. Get there by taking the Green Line to Fair Park Station.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in Concert is a screening of the beloved film  accompanied by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Experience it at Meyerson Symphony Center, walkable from Pearl/Arts District Station on the Red, Blue, Green, and Orange lines, or from the M-Line Trolley.

Sunday, Sept. 6

Myles Smith comes to Irving supporting his new album, My Mess, My Heart, My Life. Catch the British singer at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory, walkable from the Orange Line’s Irving Convention Center Station.
