A celebration of cinema, an autumn bounty, and Colombian pop music are some of the colorful offerings this fall weekend. All DARTable, of course. Get out and get on board to these cool events.

Friday, Oct. 8

The Dallas International Film Festival screens more than 30 films over the course of the entire weekend. Friday will be the festival’s opening night featuring Wes Anderson’s The French Dispatch, described as “a love letter to journalists.” There’s plenty more in store – check the festival’s website for the full program. It all takes place at the Alamo Drafthouse Cedars, a short walk from Cedars Station on the Red and Blue lines.

Clint Eastwood - A Cinematic Legacy is an exhibition of props, costumes, and other trinkets, including memorabilia from Eastwood’s personal collection. Cars, boxing gloves, a saxophone – even Eastwood’s directing chair – are all here. Check it out through Nov. 29 at the AT&T Showcase, just a few blocks from Akard Station on all four DART Rail lines.

CityLine Night Market has more than 25 booths with handmade goods, vintage finds and live music in a socially distanced, outdoor setting. Support local vendors at CityLine, just around the corner from CityLine/Bush Station on the Red Line.

Saturday, Oct. 9

Autumn at the Arboretum features more than 90,000 pumpkins, gourds, and squash. The Pumpkin Village features larger-than-life insect topiaries, pumpkin houses, and a maze that’s perfect for kids. The event runs through Oct. 31. To get to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, take Bus Route 60, departing from Union Station.

Sunday, Oct. 10

Juanes, a popular Colombian singer-songwriter, takes the stage at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory tonight. With more than 20 years’ worth of material, the performance should prove wide-ranging. The venue is a short walk from Irving Convention Center Station on the Orange Line.
