Happy New Year! However you’re spending New Year’s Eve, DART is here to get you to the festivities safely and conveniently – for free! Yes, once again, DART and Coors Light are teaming up to provide Coors Light Free Rides® on New Year’s Eve.

Keep in mind that it’s your last weekend to check out these DARTable seasonal happenings:

And throughout the last weekend of 2023, you can check out the following DARTable events.

Friday, Dec. 29

Nochebuena: A Christmas Spectacular! celebrates the Christmas traditions of Mexico with a blend of indigenous and Spanish heritage. The event features a performance by Ballet Folklorico de Los Angeles and Mariachi Garibaldi de Jaime Cuellar. See the performance this Friday night only at the Eisemann Center, right across the plaza from the Red Line’s Galatyn Park Station.

Shen Yun features classical Chinese dance along with animated backdrops and original orchestral works. The multimedia performance draws on 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture. Experience it at the Winspear Opera House tonight through Jan. 7. The venue is walkable from Pearl/Arts District Station on all four DART Rail lines, or from the M-Line trolley.

Saturday, Dec. 30

Toadies were the premier local purveyors of Texas-style grunge, and their occasional performances are always a big event. See them Saturday night at The Factory in Deep Ellum, walkable from the Green Line’s Deep Ellum Station.

Saturday, Dec. 30-Sunday, Dec. 31

Lights All Night is a two-day music festival featuring over 40 top electronic dance music acts from around the world. Performers include Skrillex, AC Slater, Marsh, Champagne Drip, Westend, Jody Wisternoff, and more. Catch it at Dallas Market Hal, walkable from Dallas Market Hall Station on the Green or Orange Lines. The venue is also served by Bus Route 230.

Sunday, Dec. 31

Lone Star NYE at Reunion Tower is the annual pyrotechnic blowout in downtown Dallas, with fireworks high above one of Dallas’ most iconic structures. The 360-degree, panoramic spectacular lights up the Dallas sky starting just before midnight. The streets of downtown are prime viewing real estate, and there should be plenty of fun happening throughout the neighborhood. West End and Akard stations, on all four DART Rail lines, are both good bets. EBJ Union Station on the Red and Blue lines puts you a bit closer to the action.

Casino Night NYE Party is Fowling Warehouse DFW’s second annual New Year's Eve Party. In addition to poker, blackjack, and roulette, the event includes a champagne toast, balloon drop, giveaways, party favors, casino, photo booth, DJ, a cash bar, breakfast tacos at midnight, plus fowling – a mash-up of football and bowling. The event takes place at 1714 14th St. in Plano. That’s served by Bus Route 247; keep in mind that the last buses back depart between 12:10 and 12:40 a.m.
