Theater, music, comedy and local shopping are all DARTable this weekend. Check out this week’s offerings.

DART is also celebrating it’s 40th anniversary! Come celebrate with us at our kickoff block party on Saturday, August 12, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Dallas College North Lake Campus Station in Irving. Enjoy live music and entertainment; food trucks; vendor booths; groups from the City of Irving; and much more! Getting there is easy – just hop on the Orange Line to North Lake Campus Station.

Thurs, Aug. 10–Sunday, Aug. 13

As You Like It involves two young cousins who are exiled to the Forest of Arden, which becomes a place for them to discover themselves, find love, and seek redemption. See Shakespeare’s classic at the Wyly Theatre, walkable from Pearl/Arts District Station on all four DART Rail lines, or from the M-Line trolley.

Friday, Aug. 11

Tigers Be Still follows a recent graduate with a master’s degree in art therapy who finds herself surrounded by a zany cast including a reclusive mother, an obsessive sister, a gun-toting boss and a recalcitrant first patient. See the performance through Aug. 26 at Main Stage 222, walkable from Downtown Irving/Heritage Crossing Station on the Trinity Railway Express (TRE).

Krystyna Hutchinson is a New York City-based stand-up comedian, author, and actor. She has appeared on TruTV, Comedy Central, and Netflix’s Master of None. See her tonight at Hyena’s, right next to the mezzanine of SMU/Mockingbird Station on the Red, Blue and Orange lines.
