Thank you to our front-line employees for their dedication to serve our communities. Meet Vernon Granville, DART Bus Operator/Instructor.

A note from Vernon:

I enjoy what I do because I love helping people. A day at work looks very good. My words of inspiration during this difficult time: pray, keep your eyes on Jesus.

Praise from a colleague May 7:

As a supervisor in Transit Center Services, I have been going out weekly on a special project with Dallas Independent School District to feed our community kids. The picture you see above is of bus operator, Mr. Vernon Granville, out of the East Dallas Division, whose only assignment today was to simply drive the bus to our destination. He could have sat in his seat and not done anything because he was not required to.

Without asking or being told, Mr. Granville got out of his seat and was all smiles, helping us load up cars with food. This is an example of 5 STAR Service. Even in this difficult time and seeing what our bus operators are being faced with daily, he is still able to smile and has such a positive attitude.

This is what our FRONT LINE looks like. This is DART!! Through it all, these bus operators are still smiling through their fear, and going ABOVE and BEYOND.

- Vanetta Alford, DART Transit Center Supervisor
