DART Rail riders traveling through Richardson on the Red or Orange lines can see the sculptures located at or near the Galatyn Park and CityLine/Bush stations. But did you know that Richardson’s Central Trail connects them with more sculptures along the path?
Dubbed the new Public ArtWalk, the northern part of the trail features eight pieces of public art. The free, self-guided 2.8-mile route provides opportunities for walkers, runners and cyclists to discover art works by notable artists. The city recently installed signs along the route to make it easy to find the next sculpture or art installation, with each sign showing the complete ArtWalk map. For more information, visit
www.cor.net/artwalk.
And since the ArtWalk begins and ends at DART stations, you can take the train back to where you started!
While you’re on board, there are works of art located at all DART Rail stations, from sculptures to unique treatments on the columns, fences, windscreens and pavers. Learn more about DART’s award-winning Station Art & Design Program at
