Enter DART’s 2020 Student Art Contest

Let your creative juices flow! Enter Dallas Area Rapid Transit’s 2020 DART Student Art Contest. The theme for this year’s contest is "Paint the Town _______. Ride DART."  You fill in the blank.

The contest is open to all young artists in kindergarten through 12th grade. Your artwork can be expressed in color or black and white. One artist may prefer to use the many brilliant shades of crayons, while another may embrace the subtle tones of a pencil.

While participants may choose different drawing tools to create their masterpiece, all students must visually illustrate this year’s theme and include the DART logo in their submission.

New this year, high school students can submit their entry online. The deadline for submission is Feb. 28. Here are a few other contest guidelines to know:

  1. Entries must measure 11" high x 17" wide, and the design should be laid out horizontally. Mailed or hand-delivered entries should be submitted on heavy paper such as poster, tag or illustration board.
  2. All lettering must be legible even when letters are used as design elements.
  3. Words must be spelled correctly.
