• Ride the DART Rail Red Line to Galatyn Park Station this weekend for the Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival. The event is an award-winning, multi-day eclectic arts and music festival featuring six performance stages, the Wild! Marketplace, the Taste of Texas Food Garden, the family friendly Kidz Korner, and a whole lot more! North Texas' largest music event will bring a distinctive lineup of Grammy award-winning artists, American rock legends, prolific singer-song writers performing the best in classic rock, country, pop, alt-rock, folk and Americana. The official lineup of performers include: Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, Kansas, Wynonna & The Big Noise, Blue October, 38 Special, Everclear, Fuel, Leon Russell, The Smithereens, Tonic, Minus The Bear, The Joe Ely Band, Gary P. Nunn, Max Stalling, Trout Fishing In America, The Zane Williams Band, Susan Werner, Zepparella - a tribute to Led Zeppelin and Le Freak. The 2015 festival's three-day pass goes on sale for $30 on April 13, at any Metroplex Tom Thumb store or online. The three-day pass will be available for sale until 5:30 p.m. May 15. Single-day adult tickets will be available at the gate for $20, as well as through the festival's website beginning April 13. Kids age 5-12 will be admitted for $3, and admission for kids 4 and under is free. The festival hours are Friday, May 15 - 6 p.m. to midnight; Saturday, May 16 - 11 a.m. to midnight; and Sunday, May 17 - 12:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. All events take place at Galatyn Park, 2351 Performance Drive, Richardson. Information and tickets: wildflowerfestival.com. • Ride the DART Rail Red Line, Blue Line, Green Line or Orange Line to Pearl/Arts District Station or St. Paul Station Sunday for Uptown Ciclovía. Hosted by Uptown Dallas, Inc. with the Metropolitan Dallas YMCA, Ciclovía is a one-mile, car-free route that turns major city streets into safe and open, car-free environments for families to run, bike, play and be well together. Originating in Bogota, Colombia over 30 years ago, ciclovías are now held in hundreds of cities worldwide. Dallas' second annual Ciclovía will be held in Uptown from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The route will connect Katy Trail to Klyde Warren Park via Cedar Springs Road. There is no start or end, just join where you can! You do not need to register to attend and there is no fee to participate. Opening ceremonies will start at 10 a.m. at Klyde Warren Park, 2012 Woodall Rodgers Frwy. Information: uptownciclovia.org.
