• Ride the DART Rail Red Line or Blue Line to Convention Center Station Saturday for the 2014 FRI Remembrance Stair Climb hosted by Dallas Fire-Rescue, with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) and the downtown Omni Dallas Hotel. Members of the public will join firefighters from around North Texas and the country to climb the stairs of the Omni Hotel in five cycles, from the 2nd to 23rd floor, reaching a total of 110 flights. Proceeds raised will go to benefit the programs of the NFFF; and the Lieutenant Todd Wesley Krodle Memorial Foundation, which was created to award college scholarships to high school seniors who are children of DFR members, and to assist future DFR Line of Duty Death families.
