It’s No Brainer Day -- yeah, that’s a thing. And, today we’re giving you six no-brainers to make sure your trip to the
Dallas St. Patrick’s Parade and Festival on March 17 is as easy as one, two, three.
No-Brainer #1: Ride the Blue, Orange or Red Lines to the Event
To experience the event via rail, you can transfer from any DART Rail line in downtown Dallas, including the Green Line, to ride the
Blue,
Orange and
Red lines to
Mockingbird Station or the
Orange and
Red lines to
Lovers Lane Station.
The Parade begins at 11 a.m. at Greenville and Blackwell Street and ends at Yale Boulevard/SMU Boulevard at 75 Central Expressway.

No-Brainer #2: Use GoPass® Mobile Ticketing Application
Use DART’s GoPass app to buy your transit pass in advance, but don’t activate your pass until the day you go to the parade and festival. You can download the app to your smartphone from either the App Store or Google Play store.
No Brainer #3: Roll onto the Low-Floor Center Cars
The center car of every DART Rail vehicle has a low-floor section that offers level boarding with the rail platform – perfect for festival-goers with strollers, wagons, wheelchairs, walkers or other mobility devices. DART’s new buses also have low-floor sections and are equipped with ramps that deploy for level boarding from the curb.
No-Brainer #4: Park for Free at a DART Station
Save time and gas while skipping the hassle and expense of trying to park near Greenville Avenue. Free parking is available at many DART transit centers or rail stations with parking lots. Find out where you can leave your car at
DART.org/parking.
No-Brainer #5: Don’t Forget About the St. Paddy's Dash Down Greenville 5K
Put on your running shoes and your green attire and make your way to the
St. Paddy's Dash Down Greenville 5K. The race begins at 8 a.m. at Central Market in Dallas.
No-Brainer #6: Bring the Whole Family
It’s a family event, so bring the whole gang to enjoy some St. Patrick’s Day fun.
