This year’s Riverfront Jazz Festival lineup includes major talents from around the country. These performers will converge on Dallas on Labor Day weekend (Sept. 2-4) for three days of jazz, blues, and soul.

DART’s Convention Center Station offers convenient access to the whole festival, which takes place on three stages. Here are the lineups for the festival’s two main stages – the Jazz Main Stage at Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Arena, and the Blues and Soul Main Stage at Naomi Bruton Theatre (located next door to the convention center).

Friday, Sept. 2

JAZZ MAIN STAGE

  • The Jeep Jazz Jam (pre-show)
  • The Dallas Hot Band
  • HEADLINER: Erykah Badu has been called the “Queen of Neo-Soul.” With a career spanning three decades – and going strong – the local treasure has plenty of material to choose from when she takes the stage.

Saturday, Sept. 3

JAZZ MAIN STAGE

  • Natural Change
  • Michael Lington & Paul Taylor
  • Avery Sunshine
  • Incognito
  • HEADLINER: Cameo is an eclectic band that started in the golden age of funk. Since forming in 1974, the band has sold 18 million albums. In addition to funk and horn-driven dance music, their style encompasses pop, hip-hop, rock, and reggae.

BLUES AND SOUL MAIN STAGE

  • The Nasty Brass Band
  • Arturo Sandoval
  • Dianne Reeves
  • Spyro Gyra
  • HEADLINER: Eric Benét is a neo-soul singer-songwriter with four Grammy Awards and numerous other accolades under his belt. 

Sunday, Sept. 4

JAZZ MAIN STAGE

  • Keith Anderson
  • Bob James
  • Robert Glasper
  • Masters of Smooth
  • HEADLINER: Boney James is an American saxophonist, songwriter, record producer and widely sought after sessions musician with 17 albums. His most recent album, Detour, was just released Sept. 23.

BLUES AND SOUL MAIN STAGE

  • Carroll, Simmons & Sparks
  • Jazzmeia Horn
  • Kim Burrell & Cory Henry
  • Members of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, with Guest Conductor John McLaughlin
  • HEADLINER: Hiroshima takes a unique East-meets-West approach, fusing Japanese musical elements with pop, urban and jazz.
