Happy Pi Day. Today we join the world in celebrating the famous numerical constant pi, also known as 3.14, but with a literary twist. What do you get when you combine pi (the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter), a poem and St. Patrick’s Day? A piem about riding DART to the Dallas St. Patrick’s Parade & Festival. What is a piem? I’m glad you asked -- thanks for that. A piem is a poem where the number of letters in each word mimic the figures in the pi sequence. For our sake, we’ll round pi eight places after the decimal: 3.14159265. Ladies and gentlemen, riders and pedestrians, I present to you "A Piem as Inspiration for a DARTable St. Patrick’s Day":

There you have it. Now, give it a try. For more information about riding DART to the Dallas St. Patrick’s Parade & Festival, visit DART.org/SPD or call DART Customer Service at 214-979-1111.
