If you want to get moving with GoLink  but don’t know how you’ve come to the right article.

In case you hadn’t heard, DART began previewing several all-new GoLink zones yesterday. In addition, DART expanded coverage in some existing zones. On Monday, January 24, these changes become permanent as part of DART’s new bus network that is simpler, better, faster and easier for you.

GoLink is DART’s on-demand service that serves destinations within a designated zone, and each zone provides service to a rail station or transit center for connections to other DART services.

Now you can book an on-demand trip and head to work, run an errand or connect to DART buses and trains.

Unlike a traditional DART bus that operates on a fixed schedule, you can’t just walk up and get on board  you must book trips in advance. It’s easy to get moving with GoLink, though. Here’s how to book and pay for trips:

Two Ways to Book a GoLink Trip

1. With the GoPass app

Simply select “Plan” within the app and enter where you want to be picked up and where you’re heading. If GoLink is available for your trip, it will show as an option in your planning results. Now just press the “START BOOKING” button!

2. By calling 214-515-7272

DART accepts phone reservations from 4 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day, but only same-day trips are accepted.

Two Ways to Pay

1. Credit or debit card

2. GoPass Tap card

No matter which method you choose, your GoLink trip is covered by a valid contactless DART fare purchased using one of these forms of payment -- at no additional cost. For example, if you have an active DART pass in the GoPass app, your GoLink fare would already be covered.

Fares are per person, per trip. Sorry, but GoLink does not accept cash fares, paper passes or vouchers on board. Keep in mind, though, that you can load your GoPass Tap card with cash at hundreds of participating retailers.

To get the best fare, DART recommends using the GoPass app or a registered GoPass Tap card. You can link your GoPass Tap card to your GoPass account in the app. When paying with a GoPass Tap card, though, each rider must have their own card. To learn about all available fare types, go here.

Before you head out on your first GoLink trip, check out these “Five Keys to a Smooth Ride.”

1. All trips require an advance booking. No walk-ons allowed.

2. If you need an ADA-accessible vehicle, be sure to request it when booking. Service animals are welcome on board.

3. Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

4. Be ready. Vehicles depart briefly after arriving at the pick-up point.

5. Need to cancel a trip? Be sure to do so before the vehicle arrives, either via the app or by calling 214-515-7272.

Also, please note that DART requires riders to wear a CDC-approved face mask on its vehicles, including GoLink.

Now all that’s left is for you to experience GoLink for yourself. Click here to find the zone nearest you. We can’t wait to see you on board!
