As we look back on DART's 40-year history, we celebrate both our early years and our more recent accomplishments. 

DART was created on Aug. 13, 1983, when 58% of voters in 14 cities and Dallas County cast more than 101,000 ballots in favor of regional transportation.

Today, DART offers an extensive network of light rail, Trinity Railway Express commuter rail, bus routes, GoLink on-demand services, and paratransit services that moves more than 220,000 passengers per day across our 700-square-mile service area.
