An arctic blast is in the forecast for later this week, and wintry precipitation is a possibility. If the weather is bad enough to disrupt DART service, here is what you need to know:

DART has developed three operating scenarios designed to maintain service to and from each of our transit facilities, should winter weather disrupt normal rail and bus operations.

In the event one of these plans is necessary, notices will be distributed on:

Please keep this information handy during the winter season, as it contains important information regarding your daily commute.

These are the three possible scenarios for DART’s winter weather operations:

1.  Partial Rail Shutdown – DART operates limited rail service, roughly within the LBJ loop.

2.  Full Rail Shutdown, Bus Service Only – All shuttle buses to and from outside of Downtown Dallas will serve one of the following: Rosa Parks Plaza, West End Station or Pearl/Arts District Station.

3.  Full Rail Shutdown, Service on Select Bus Routes – DART will operate a Sunday schedule on the highest-volume bus routes in the system.

More details, maps, and bus route lists for each of these operating scenarios can be found at DART.org/WinterWeather

Note: During severe weather, the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) commuter rail may also experience delays. Learn more at trinityrailwayexpress.org.
