With temperatures rising across North Texas, DART is offering transit centers as cooling stations for riders looking to escape the heat.
Beginning Friday, June 23, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) will provide transit centers as cooling stations for customers looking for ways to stay safe from the excessive heat we are experiencing across the region. DART transit centers will be open 7 days a week, from 9 a.m.–7 p.m.
Each of the following transit center will be staffed with DART personnel to provide assistance with travel planning:
· Addison Transit Center
· Arapaho Center Station
· Bernal/Singleton Transfer Location
· CBD East Transfer Center
· CBD West Transfer Center
· Cockrell Hill Transfer Location
· Downtown Garland Station
· Downtown Irving/Heritage Crossing Station
· Hampton Station
· Illinois Station
· J.B. Jackson Jr. Transit Center/MLK Jr. Station
· Jack Hatchell Transit Center
· Lake June Station
· Lake Ray Hubbard Transit Center
· Ledbetter Station
· Parker Road Station
· Red Bird Transit Center
· South Garland Transit Center
DART will continue to monitor weather conditions across the North Texas area. We recommend that everyone stay in air-conditioned buildings as much as you can, drink more water than usual and don’t wait until you’re thirsty to drink, and be sure to check on friends and neighbors.
