It’s already time to think about summer camp! There are lots of options, but every year, they book up fast.
The DFW Kid’s Directory Summer Camp & Activities Expo simplifies the whole process and even makes it fun. On. Feb. 23, representatives from more than 40 summer camps will gather under one roof, making it easy to browse and select the camp that’s the best fit for your child. Both day camps and overnight camps will be on hand. You can check out camps specializing in the arts, sports, music, computers, you name it. You’ll probably discover options you didn’t even know existed.
Since you can speak with staff, directors and campers from numerous camps, you’ll be able to get a real feel for each one. Best of all, your child will be part of the decision-making process. While you’re there, secure your child’s spot, receive discounts, and – maybe! – win a free summer camp.
There will be activities, crafts and games to keep both younger kids and teens entertained. And parents can learn relevant info such as what to budget for camp costs.
The expo takes place at Moody Coliseum on the SMU campus. Get there by taking DART’s Red, Blue or Orange lines to Mockingbird Station, then getting on the Museum Express (Route 743) or SMU Express (Route 768).
This is a great chance to make sure that both you and your child are happy campers this summer.
