With free rides and games, free live children’s entertainment, free face painting, and much more, the
9th Annual Festival at the Switchyard in Historic Downtown Carrollton offers something for every member of the family to enjoy!
The event is Nov. 3, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. With limited parking, the best way to get to all the fun, food and entertainment is on DART's Green Line to Downtown Carrollton Station.
The children’s entertainment lineup will kick off at 12:30 p.m. inside the Plaza Arts Center with a performance by stunt juggler Matt Tardy.
Up next at 2:30 p.m., Landon Stark will put on a variety show for all ages that mixes his style of stand-up comedy with a fresh blend of unique wit, variety tricks, and astonishing magic.
Festival rides and games, including bungee trampolines, a zip line, a spin the apple ride, a giant fun slide, a kiddie high striker, a baseball toss, an all-star basketball free-throw game, a video game truck, and much more will line the streets.
Families riding DART to the event will find that the easiest way to purchase your transit pass is on DART's
GoPass® app. It’s free on Google Play and the App Store.
Kids ages 5-14 are eligible for a reduced fare and kids under 5 years old ride free with an adult.
High school students with a valid DART Service Area high school ID, or a valid
DART-issued student ID may also ride on a reduced fare.
Fare options are available in the app and on
DART.org/fares.
The real-time trip planning tool in the app will make getting to the festival easy.
