The Dallas Quilt Show 2018 at Market Hall is an annual favorite, and this year's theme is "The Tree of Life." You’ll get to check out all the judged entries, as well as peruse the numerous vendors, lectures and demonstrations that the show offers. If you’ve heard of the American Quilter's Society, then you’ll probably be exited to know that the organization’s certified appraisers will be there to tell you what your cherished quilt is worth (this service is by appointment only). There also will be a miniature quilt auction that will give you a chance to pick up something manageably sized and priced, while benefitting the organization Helping Seniors Keep Pets. The event opens today and runs through Sunday, and Bus Route 749, departing from Convention Center and Southwestern Medical District/Parkland stations, will get you there.

The Amateur Community Theatre of Rowlett settles in tonight for a 10-day run of Honeymoon at Graveside Manor.Marian is looking forward to her honeymoon, envisioning a romantic, secluded getaway. It turns out that Graveside Manor is a haunted former mortuary full of secret passageways. A cast of memorable characters, including a hatchet-wielding ghost, an absent-minded cop and an escaped lunatic, rounds out this farcical horror story. The performance venue, Main Street Events, is right next to Downtown Rowlett Station on the Blue Line.

Are you a fan of stylish vintage finds and artfully re-purposed goods? The Urban Flea in Downtown Garland is right in your wheelhouse, with dozens of antique vendors showcasing unique pieces, handmade items and lots of other cool and beautiful things. There will be live music, too, and the quaint neighborhood is teeming with mom-and-pop shops and restaurants. It’s all steps from Downtown Garland Station on the Blue Line.

Mexican rock icons Gloria Trevi and Alejandra Guzman have both had hit-filled careers and weathered their share of controversy. Fitting, then, that they should share a bill at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory, a short walk from Irving Convention Center Station on the Orange Line. Get ready to pump your fist and sing along to any number of smash-hit anthems (helpful if you speak Spanish). Both rivalry and mutual respect will be in the air at this one-of-a-kind concert, which is actually billed not with “and,” but with the more edgy “versus.”

It’s your last day to catch Three Sisters at the Undermain Theater. This is one of the great Russian writer Anton Chekhov's definitive plays – the story of Olga, Masha, and Irina, who are disillusioned with life in a small Russian town. They dream of freedom and romance in Moscow; when two figures appear in their lives, they are transformed. A complex latticework of stories is interwoven in this classic of world drama. Experience it at Undermain’s terrific, intimate space on the edge of Deep Ellum. It’s only a short walk from Baylor University Medical Center on the Green Line; bus routes 60 and 76 will get you there, as well.
