Posted on Mar 4, 2026 by DART Daily

Spring is in the air – an outdoor concert series ramps up for the season, and festival season kicks off with a pair of local favorites. There’s a lot more, too. Read on to see where DAR^T can take you this weekend.

Thursday, March 5-Saturday, March 7

Raanan Hershberg has been a guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and The Late, Late Show with James Corden, among other television appearances. Catch his high-energy act at Punch Line Irving. That’s in the Toyota Music Factory complex, walkable from Irving Convention Center Station on the Orange Line.

Friday, March 6

Sunday Call to Church: The Art of Clementine Hunter celebrates the Louisiana artist’s vivid images of life on the Melrose Plantation. Hunter depicted scenes of baptisms, Sunday services, field work, weddings, and community. Her paintings provide stirring historical testimony. Today is the exhibition’s last day at the African American Museum, walkable from the Green Line’s Fair Park Station.

Music Made Here Concert Series offers terrific local music under the stars in the Downtown Garland Square. Enjoy food from local restaurants, take advantage of the kids’ activity area, and take in some tunes – tonight, by rising country artist Chayce Beckham, who is joined by Red Dirt singer-songwriter Sterling Elza. The square is easily walkable from Downtown Garland Station on the Blue Line.

Jazz at Lincoln Center Presents: Great American Crooners pays tribute to classic crooners such as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and Bobby Darin, as styled by vocalists Robbie Lee, Shenel Johns, and Benny Benack III. Expect American standards along the lines of “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” “Misty,” and “Moon River,” along with biographical stories about these all-time greats. Experience it at the Eisemann Center, right across the plaza from Galatyn Park Station on the Red Line.

Friday, March 6-Sunday, March 8

The North Texas Irish Festival comes to Fair Park again with its celebration of all things Celtic. There is live music on multiple indoor and outdoor stages – in addition to Irish step dancing, storytelling, sheepherding demonstrations, Gaelic football exhibitions, and a kids’ activity area. There is also the North Texas Irish Festival Fun Run on Saturday, along with an untimed 5K fun run. Get there by taking the Green Line (appropriately) to Fair Park Station.

Saturday, March 7

Peppa Pig: My First Concert is the perfect introduction to a live orchestra for young concertgoers aged 18 months or over. Join Peppa and George and learn about the different sounds and instruments that make up an orchestra. The performance is at the Majestic Theater, easily walkable from St. Paul Station on the Red, Blue, Green, and Orange lines.

TEXFest is Historic Downtown Carrollton’s 11th annual celebration of Texas Independence Day. There’s plenty of craft beer, Texas-style food, and live Lone Star music. Ride a mechanical bull, take a selfie with a live Texas longhorn, or two-step to headliner Grupo Stampede. The neighborhood is very walkable from the Green Line’s Downtown Carrollton Station.

Cardi B performs at the American Airlines Center in support of her new album, Am I The Drama? The venue is served by Victory Station on the Green and Orange lines, as well as the TRE. The last TRE service departs at 10:51 p.m.
