Music and comedy await you this weekend – not to mention a dazzling lantern display and thousands upon thousands of guitars. Read on to see where DART can take you.


Friday, May 1

Illuminature is the Dallas Zoo’s colorful display of lanterns and larger-than-life sculptures inspired by wildlife and nature. The event also features music, flashing lights, and amazing visual effects. Experience it through June 28. Get to the Zoo by taking the Red Line to Dallas Zoo Station.

Music Made Here is an ongoing concert series in Downtown Garland. Tonight, don’t miss Mexican acts La Nueva Fortaleza and Cachas de Oro. The festivities are a short walk from Downtown Garland Station on the Blue Line.

 

 

Friday, May 1-Saturday, May 2

Martin Garrix comes to town in support of his 2025 album, Origo. See the Dutch DJ and producer at the Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory, walkable from Irving Convention Center Station on the Orange Line.

Michael Palascak was a finalist on Last Comic Standing, and he’s performed on just about all the late-night talk shows. He recently released a new album. See him at Dallas Comedy Club, a short walk from the Green Line’s Baylor University Medical Center Station.

 

 

Friday, May 1-Sunday, May 3

Dallas International Guitar Festival is one of the biggest and oldest events of its kind, and you’ll find musicians, fans, celebrities, and tons of guitar geeks all under one roof. Buy, sell, trade, or just check out the thousands of awesome guitars. You’ll find plenty of them at Dallas Market Hall. You can walk there from Market Center Station on the Green and Orange lines. You can also catch bus route 306 from the station.

 

 

Sunday, May 3

Maren Morris comes to Dallas in support of her new album, Dreamsicle. Catch the country star at the Majestic Theatre, just a few blocks from St. Paul Station on the Red, Blue, Green, and Orange lines.
