Disney PRIDE in Concert is Turtle Creek Chorale’s homage to the great music of Disney. Backed by a 30-piece orchestra, the men’s chorus celebrates love, LGBTQ+ pride, Disney’s legendary musical legacy. The program includes music from The Lion King, Aladdin, Peter Pan, Cinderella, and more. Check it out at the Meyerson Symphony Center, walkable from Pearl/Arts District Station on all four DART lines, or from the M-Line Trolley.
The Addams Family is a ghoulish hit musical filled with familiar characters who are “creepy and they’re kooky.” Performances are at Winspear Opera House. You can walk there from Pearl/Arts District Station on all four DART lines, or from the M-Line Trolley.

The Oak Cliff Film Festival features a wide array of features, shorts, workshops, and more. Highlights include opening night film Street Smart: Lessons from a TV Icon, the Marc Maron documentary Are We Good? and Gypsy 83: Director's Cut – but the list of films is pretty extensive. Screenings and other events take place at Texas Theatre, Bishop Arts Theater Center, Oak Cliff Cultural Center, The Kessler Theater, and other venues. Most of the venues are along Jefferson Avenue, which is served by bus route 9. Even if you drive to the festival, the bus would be a good way to shuttle between venues.
Friday, June 27
Oklahoma! is one of the better-known plays in the history of musical theater. Taking place in the Western territory around the turn of the century, the play has rivalry, romance, and terrific songs. The production runs through July 13 at The Firehouse Theatre. That’s walkable from Farmers Branch Station on the Green Line.
The Dallas Wings will celebrate their 10th season by taking on the Indiana Fever, the team of superstar Caitlyn Clark. This is the Wings’ first game at American Airlines Center, served by Victory Station on the Green and Orange lines.
Friday, June 27-Saturday, June 28
Gabriel Rutledge is a comedian with numerous television appearances under his belt, including Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, Nickelodeon’s Nickmom Night Out, Laughs on FOX, andInside Joke with Asif Ali streaming on Amazon Prime Video. He performs tonight at Dallas Comedy Club, which you can easily walk to from Baylor University Medical Center Station on the Green Line.
Saturday, June 28
Independence Day Celebration at Klyde Warren Park features summer treats from a variety of food trucks, music, family-fun programming and, for the grand finale, a firework show. The event is free and open to the public. The park is walkable from St. Paul Station on all four DART Rail lines, and is also served by the M-Line Trolley.
