CityLine Live presents live music under the stars every Friday and Saturday evening through October in Richardson’s CityLine Plaza. Bring a picnic blanket or grab a patio seat at one of CityLine’s many restaurants. On Friday,  catch singer-songwriter Kayla Owens and also enjoy a Night Market. On Saturday, take in the Americana sounds of Ryan Berg. Get there by taking the Red Line to CityLine/Bush Station.

Tyler Fischer is an actor and comedian who has appeared on numerous television shows. Catch him at one of four performances over two nights at Punch Line Irving, walkable from Irving Convention Center Station on the Orange Line.

It’s a Scream! is a comedy full of nods to classic horror movies. An ambitious movie studio bigwig finds himself trapped in a legendary horror star’s mysterious mansion. Check out this evening of spooky humor at Pocket Sandwich Theatre, walkable from the Green Line’s Downtown Carrollton Station.

Story Ballet features Slowdanger, a multidisciplinary performance group from Pittsburgh, presenting a surreal evening of dance. The piece uses unique lighting, holographic projections, laser walls and live sound sampling. Experience this feast for the senses at the Eisemann Center, right across the plaza from the Red Line’s Galatyn Park Station. 

Saturday, Sept. 26

The 7th Annual Latinidades Festival & Symposium celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with Cara Mía Theatre’s international Latino theater festival. The even features  puppets, music, dance, live music, and poetry. Featured artists include Escultores del Aire from Barcelona, Las de Allá Dance Collective from Austin, and Dallas-area artists. It all happens at the Latino Cultural Center, just down the street from Deep Ellum Station on the Green Line.

Saturday, Sept. 26-Sunday, Sept. 26

Dallas Oddities and Curiosities Expo is the world’s largest traveling convention of macabre artists, taxidermy animals, and sideshow performers. The odd, curious event takes place at Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, a short walk from EBJ Union Station on the Red and Blue lines as well as the TRE (which does not run on Sundays).
