Lektrik: A Festival of Lights is, as it sounds, an illuminated world of enchantment. The captivating spectacle features more than 100 light sculptures, transforming Fair Park into a colorful journey. Experience botanical scenes; stunning depictions of Mayan, Aztec, and Egyptian cultures; plus photo ops, live performances, delicious food, and more. Check it out Wednesdays through Sundays until March 23 at the Texas Discovery Gardens at Fair Park. That’s a short walk from Fair Park Station on the Green Line.
Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 is a musical set in Russia, with romance and intrigue aplenty. The program features a unique blend of electropop and Russian folk music. The play runs through Dec. 29 at Theatre Three, walkable form the M-Line Trolley.

Cam Bertrand has been a contributing writer on two seasons of MTV’s hit show Wild’N’Out, made a half-hour special for Dry Bar Comedy, and competed on America’s Got Talent. This weekend, he has two shows each night at Dallas Comedy Club. You can walk there from the Green Line’s Baylor University Medical Center Station.
Grandma Got Run Over by a What? takes place during Christmas, when the matriarch of a dysfunctional family has been murdered. So whodunit? Attendees get to help solve the mystery. Dinner is included, and ugly sweaters are encouraged. Check it out at the Addison Conference and Theatre Centre. It’s very near Addison Transit Center – served by DART Bus Routes 22, 200, 202, 227, 229, 235, 236, 237, 238, 239, 240, and 305.
