The Dallas Noir Fest includes three days of films, books, events, and all things “noir.” Screenings take place over three days and include such classics as Dial M for Murder, Cape Fear, and The Maltese Falcon. Check out the events at the Violet Crown Cinema, a short walk from Cityplace/Uptown Station on the Red, Blue and Orange lines.

Tarzan is a musical adapted from the Disney film, with music by Phil Collins. The family-friendly musical features all the songs from the movie, plus an additional nine songs. See it at the Majestic Theatre, just a few blocks from St. Paul Station on all four DART Rail lines.

The Wildflower Arts and Music Festival, Richardson’s annual celebration of spring, is here – a three-day celebration where fun flourishes. Check out a bouquet of national and local musical acts, a profusion of exhibitors and vendors, and much more. If you love rock and roll, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts are headlining on Saturday night. To get to the festival area, take the Red Line to Galatyn Park Station.

Spring Celebration is Dallas Black Dance Theatre’s feast for the senses, with three powerful and emotionally charged works. The world premiere of Tabernacle pays homage to the many facets and complexities of Black culture. Furtherance portrays overcoming a personal struggle. And Smile is a whimsical and unpredictable work. See them at the Wyly Theatre, a short walk from Pearl/Arts District Station. The venue is also easily walkable from an M-Line Trolley stop.

CityLine Live continues its free concert series. There are nearby restaurant patios perfect for enjoying the show, or you can get your dinner and drinks to go. On Friday, check out the American rock of Dev Wulf. On Saturday, enjoy the country music stylings of Ryan Glenn.

The event takes place at Irving’s Heritage Park, a couple of blocks from Downtown Irving/Heritage Crossing Station on the Trinity Railway Express (TRE).

To Kill a Mockingbird is an American classic, and the Broadway stage production received accolades far and wide. Expect to see all the indelible characters you remember – including Atticus Finch, played by Richard Thomas. You can catch it onstage at Fair Park Music Hall through May 28. That’ a very short walk from the Green Line’s Fair Park Station.
