DART has extended the Discount GoPass Tap card pilot program through Dec. 31, 2022. The program provides riders who currently participate in a qualifying assistance programs with a 50% discount on the regular price of a DART pass.

DART launched the pilot program to reduce transportation costs for qualifying riders, which improves their access to jobs, health care, and educational opportunities. By reducing social and economic inequalities, mobility becomes financially feasible to more people.

All new and current DART riders who currently participate in any of the following programs are eligible for the Discount GoPass Tap card pilot program, which allows them to ride DART services at half the fare:

• CEAP (Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program)
• CHIP (Children's Health Insurance Program)
• DHA Housing Solutions for North Texas program
• Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8)
• Medicaid
• Medicare
• SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program)
• TANF (Texas Temporary Assistance for Needy Families)
  
• Texas WIC (Texas Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children)
  

Riders can apply for a Discount GoPass Tap card three ways:

• At DARTmart in DART Headquarters at Akard Station, 1401 Pacific Avenue, Dallas, TX 75202
• Online at DART.org/TapForHalf
• Or by calling 972-482-6491

Participants who wish to renew their discount for 2022 must visit DARTmart, provide documentation that you still qualify for the program, and receive a new expiration decal for your card.

Discount GoPass Tap cards can be used on DART bus, DART Light Rail, and Trinity Railway Express (TRE) between EBJ Union Station and CentrePort/DFW Station. To use the Discount GoPass Tap card for GoLink, riders must either link their GoPass Tap card to their GoPass app account or call 214-515-7272 to pay for and schedule a trip.
