EarthxHack Using Technology to Solve Environmental Issues
Posted on Apr 16, 2019 by lwebbmanondartorg
Now in its ninth year, Earthx2019 is coming to Dallas April 26-28 at Fair Park. In addition to three days of exhibitions, learning experiences and discussions, this year’s event will offer tech-savvy participants a special treat: the opportunity to show off their skills in using technology to solve real world issues that can be implemented on a global scale.
EarthxHack, which debuted two years ago, is a 24-hour event that will be held April 27-28. Participants will work to create environmentally impactful programs and mobile applications, combining technical programming with sustainable solutions.
All creators are welcome, including high schoolers, undergraduate students, graduate students and professionals. Creators will work in teams of two to five people, and there will be scheduled time for participants to form teams. There is no cost to participate in EarxhxHack. Participants will need to bring their own laptops and chargers. Learn more at earthx.org/hack.
“Water for All” is the theme for Earthx2019. To attend Earthx2019, ride DART’s Green Line to Fair Park Station and the entrance gates to Fair Park lie steps away.
For more information about EarthX, visit earthx.org. And, to learn more about riding DART to the activities, use your GoPass® app, visit DART.org or call DART Customer Service at 214-979-1111.

DART is making major improvements. To create a smoother ride through downtown Dallas and reduce service interruptions, track improvements and rail replacement began March 30 and will last for roughly six months. During that time, DART Rail in downtown Dallas will be discontinued each weekend between Pearl/Arts District Station and West End Station. Separate shuttle routes will be in operation. Thanks for bearing with us as we build a better future for North Texas. DART.org/Plus.
