“Carrollton’s transportation infrastructure is one of its greatest strengths and goes back to the late 1800s with the arrival of the railroads,” Mayor Kevin Falconer said. "Carrollton quickly emerged from an agricultural community to a hub of bustling business and professional activity. As a DART member city since 1984, Carrollton is now poised to be the primary, most-connected destination and transfer point within the Metroplex."
"Dallas Area Rapid Transit light rail has been an integral service in Carrollton since 2010, with the opening of the Green Line and three light rail stations in Carrollton," Falconer said. "The City Council's vision and goals for Carrollton revolve around creating successful transit-oriented development districts that are sustainable and vibrant, and Carrollton citizens are experiencing just that."
Falconer says he is very excited about the City of Carrollton’s partnership with DART, especially involving the latest Trinity Mills Station development. Falconer believes the City is in for an economic boost that will continue transforming Carrollton from an inner-ring suburb into a dynamic hub of economic and social activity, with increased shopping and dining, hospitality and recreation venues, and business opportunities.
“With the addition of the Trinity Mills Station development and the completion of the Silver Line in 2023, the City of Carrollton will experience a tremendous catalyst for growth for all three of Carrollton’s DART rail stations, as we continue to create a City that families and businesses want to call home."
Congratulations on 25 years!!
