Rodney Schlosser, a member of the DART Board of Directors, began a two-year term as the Vice Chair of the DART Board this past October. The Dallas City Council appointed Schlosser to the board in 2020.
In his work, Rodney is Senior Vice President of Business Development & Partnerships at Asurion, a large Nashville-based company that provides a variety of services to the mobile, broadband, and consumer electronics industry. He has been with the firm for more than 20 years and covers North and South America.
Outside of Asurion and DART, Rodney co-chairs UT Austin’s Strauss Center for Civic Life, which runs programs for high school and college students interested in civic engagement. He is an alum of UT Austin and was recently asked to join the university’s executive education faculty – leading workshops focused on building strong business relationships. Rodney is a long-time member of the Dallas Breakfast Group and the Dallas Assembly, two well-established organizations focused on community engagement.
Schlosser previously served on the Dallas Park & Recreation Board, the Dallas Municipal Library Board, and the Board of Trustees for Temple Shalom.
I asked Rodney what he hoped to achieve during his tenure as a DART Board officer, and he responded that he has these main goals:
We are grateful to Rodney for his involvement with DART and for bringing his passion for civic leadership and bettering Dallas to our agency.
