Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum Summer Survivor Speaker Series features the testimonies of Holocaust survivors, refugees, and hidden children, as well as second generation survivors. Today, hear Phil Glauben, the son of Holocaust survivor Max Glauben. At age 12, Max smuggled food and supplies into the Warsaw Ghetto, where he and his family were confined. He was later sent to several concentration camps before being liberated by the U.S. Army. The venue is a short walk from West End Station on all four DART Rail lines.
Carrollton Sounds on the Square brings the downtown neighborhood to life with great local musicians. The surrounding Historic Downtown Carrollton has tone of shopping and dining options. This evening, enjoy the classic country sounds of Unbroken Circle. It’s all a short walk from the Green Line’s Downtown Carrollton Station.

King Kirby is the origin story of Jack Kirby – the “King of Comics,” creator of Captain America, the Avengers, the Hulk, Thor, the X-Men, and Iron Man, among others – beginning with his hardscrabble upbringing in New York City. The play follows him to the battlefields of Normandy and through his brilliant career. Check it out at Cox Playhouse, right across Haggard Park from Downtown Plano Station on the Red Line.

Slightly Stoopid comes to Irving as part of their Step into the Sun Summer Tour. The rock band has released nine albums, most recently Everyday Life, Everyday People in 2018. Iration and A Little Stranger join them at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory, walkable from the Orange Line’s Irving Convention Center Station.

Basically Beethoven Festival features many of Dallas’ top professional musicians and rising stars. Tonight, Fine Arts Chamber Players presents “Preludes.” The featured performer is pianist Liudmila Georgievskaya. Check it out at Moody Performance Hall, walkable from Pearl/Arts District Station on all four DART Rail lines, or from the M-Line Trolley.
