Meals for approximately 100 families in two apartment complexes were loaded Thursday, April 23, onto DART buses for distribution in southern Dallas.

DART and the University of North Texas at Dallas Mobile Market joined forces to reach families in food deserts in southern Dallas with fresh produce, additional food and other necessary items during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Volunteers loaded and unloaded the buses as part of a partnership with DART, UNT Dallas, Toyota, the Oak Cliff Veggie Project, Lone Star Human Services and Grow North.
