DARTzoom-NewBusNet-Logo-full-colorNorth Texas continues to experience explosive growth. How and where our riders use our service has shifted with new employment districts emerging across the region, as well as a steady increase in single and multifamily housing construction.

To better respond to these changes, DART has taken a comprehensive look at our bus system. The result: a complete redesign of the bus network that, if approved, will serve new destinations and have improved frequency on more bus routes.

Three things you should know:

  1. Most of DART’s regular, local fixed-route bus route service would be noticeably different with the proposed changes. The agency is trying to provide more riders with better access to jobs and other destinations.
  2. Nothing is final yet. DART staff presented the agency’s board of directors with a draft service plan earlier this month, but now it goes to the public for input.
  3. The public will have an opportunity to weigh in on these proposed changes and help shape future service. The agency will soon offer a mix of socially distanced tactics to gather input from riders, including an online survey and virtual community meetings.
