Parade of Playhouses is Dallas CASA’s celebration of imagination that helps support children living in foster care. The event features nearly a dozen one-of-a-kind creations, custom-designed by architects and builders. See The Lorax’s house, a historical home, a beachside cottage, and many more works of art. You can do so through June 29 at NorthPark Center. To get there, take the Red or Orange line to Park Lane Station, and catch the NorthPark Shuttle (bus route 402).

Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat is the first collaboration between the illustrious duo of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. The Broadway classic tells the journey of the Bible’s Joseph, his 12 brothers, and his coat of many colors. Experience it through July 13 at the Wyly Theatre. Dallas Pride happens this weekend of at Fair Park. The festivities kick off on Saturday with the Dallas Pride Music Festival, featuring events for all ages. On Sunday, the festival presents the Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade, featuring floats, costumes and performers. The parade travels from the Fair Park Coliseum to the Hall of State. To get there on DART, just ride the Green Line to Fair Park Station.

Juneteenth Celebration is Plano’s event featuring speakers and historians – not to mention smooth Jazz and R&B, line dancing, food, kid’s activities, and more. Check it out at Haggard Park, right next to the Red Line’s Downtown Plano Station.

Juneteenth is also celebrated in Garland, where emancipation is commemorated with live entertainment. Indulge in food from local downtown restaurants, explore the children's activity area, and reflect on the day's historical significance. The event takes place in the Garland City Square, walkable from Downtown Garland Station on the Blue Line.

Babymetal comes to Irving in support of their new album, Metal Forth. See the Japanese metal band at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory, walkable from the Orange Line’s Irving Convention Center Station.

Paula Poundstone is an iconic comedian, known for her smart, observational humor and spontaneous wit.
