Thursday, July 23-Sunday, July 26

The Asian Film Festival of Dallas screens 19 feature films, plus eight short. The festival features several premieres, plus at least one retrospective screening. Check out the festival website for a full schedule of screenings. The event takes place over four days at the Angelika Film Center, just two minutes from the mezzanine of SMU/Mockingbird Station on the Red, Blue, and Orange lines.

Friday, July 24

King Arthur & Merlin: A Tale of Sword & Sorcery is the world premiere of a comical take on the legend of Camelot. Catch the entertaining twist on Arthurian legend through Aug. 22 at Pocket Sandwich Theatre. That’s a short walk from Downtown Carrolton Station on both the Green Line and the Silver Line.

Grupo Frontera comes to American Airlines Center supporting their album Lo Que Me Falta Por Llorar. The venue is served by the Green and Orange lines, as well as the TRE.

Saturday, July 25

The Pretty Reckless performs in Dallas behind a new album, Dear God. See the rockers at House of Blues, a few blocks from West End Station on the Red, Blue, Green, and Orange lines.

The Texas Black Invitational Rodeo features Black cowboys and cowgirls competing for cash in several traditional rodeo events, plus a relay race. The event also pays tribute to Cleo Hearn, a National Rodeo Hall of Fame recipient who broke barriers and educated the public on the diversity of the American West. It all takes place at Fair Park Coliseum, near the Green Line’s Fair Park Station.

Sunday, July 26

Basically Beethoven Festival Enjoy an afternoon of live, family-friendly chamber music this Sunday at the Basically Beethoven Festival. For 45 years, the festival has brought some of the best FREE live classical music concerts to Dallas. Take any DART Rail line to Pearl/Arts District Station, then the Moody Performance Hall is just a short walk away.

Sarah McLachlan comes to Irving in support of her 2025 album, Better Broken. See the Canadian singer-songwriter and 90s icon at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory, walkable from the Orange Line’s Irving Convention Center Station.
