Celebrate the holiday season at DARTable events in many North Texas cities, with parades, tree lightings, live music, and more festivities happening throughout the DART Service Area.

Friday, Dec. 3, and Sunday, Dec. 5

Vocal Majority “Xmas Marks The Spot” takes you on a musical Christmas cruise with a band of pirates who learn the spirit of giving. The second half of the show is a traditional holiday program with all your favorite seasonal songs.  Catch the joyful show at the Eisemann Center for Performing Arts, just across the plaza from the Red Line’s Galatyn Park Station.

Saturday, Dec. 4

Toyota Dallas Holiday Parade brings travels down Commerce Street Houston and Harwood Streets, before it turns finishes on Young Street. Enjoy beautiful floats, giant inflatable balloons, favorite characters, marching bands, dancers, and of course, Santa and Mrs. Clause! Get to the parade by taking the Red Line, Blue Line or Trinity Railway Express (TRE) to EBJ Union Station; or any DART Rail line to West End, Akard or St. Paul stations. Numerous bus routes in downtown Dallas will be rerouted.

Party in the Plaza in the AT&T Discovery District begins after the parade with a full day of holiday festivities for the whole family, including Santa in the Globe from 1-3 p.m., performances by Starlite, Dancers, and more; carriage Rides Photo Op;  Live Music, and Holiday Food and Drinks. The event is free and takes place 1-5 p.m. The AT&T Discovery District is a few blocks down Akard Street from Akard Station on all four rail lines.

Klyde Warren Park’s Tree Lighting Celebration is a day of family fun that includes photos with Santa, story time with Mrs. Claus, and a live holiday show. Take any DART Rail line to St. Paul Station, and you’re a few blocks from the fun.

Carrollton Santa on the Square lights up the city’s downtown form 4-8 p.m. Come see the giant snow globe, reindeer, toy soldiers, crafts, and more. The official tree lighting ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. Don't forget to stop by the local merchants to shop for gifts for your friends and family. Historic Downtown Carrollton is located a block from Downtown Carrollton Station on the Green Line.

Farmers Branch Christmas Tree Lighting & Holiday Marketplace welcomes the season with the annual lighting of the new 40-foot Christmas Tree with Santa Claus and outdoor ice skating in The Grove at Mustang Station. Liberty Plaza will be busy with a KidZone and carnival rides, food, face painters, balloon artists, strolling characters, and holiday performances from local schools. Shop local vendors for unique handmade/homemade gifts at the Holiday Marketplace at The Grove. The night will conclude with a low-level fireworks show. All events take place close to the Green Line’s Farmers Branch Station.

Downtown Garland Holiday Sip N' Stroll comes to the downtown square from 5-8 p.m. Check in at the Garland Downtown Business Association tent to pick up your collectable Holiday Sip N' Stroll Mug and a map of the amazing participating businesses. Tickets are $15 and the evening includes: unlimited hot beverages, photos with Santa and the Grinch, DIY ornament making, holiday stories, face painting, and live music. Walk over from Downtown Garland Station on the Blue Line.

Irving’s Holidays at the Heritage is the city’s annual holiday parade and tree lighting, featuring lighted floats along Second Street and Irving Boulevard, as well as the Centennial Park Holiday Lights – more than 60,000 lights on display through Dec. 26. To get there, take the TRE to Downtown Irving/Heritage Crossing Station.

Dickens in Downtown Plano brings back all the favorites – a snow slide, Scrooge, and free photos with (Victorian) Santa. Don’t miss the tree lighting at 7 p.m. The Downtown Plano Arts District is next to the Red Line’s Downtown Plano Station.

Richardson’s Christmas Parade begins on Coit Road at Cherrywood Drive and continue north to J.J. Pearce High School. You can get there on Bus Route 361, but it will take a slightly different route to accommodate the parade.

Rowlett Main Street Fest & Holiday Parade features lighted floats and lots of Christmas trees, which will be displayed throughout December. The festivities happen a block from Downtown Rowlett Station on the Blue Line.

Sunday, Dec. 5

Addison Holiday in the Park moves outdoors to Addison Circle Park for a socially distanced celebration. Addison Holiday in the Park takes place 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Enjoy live performances of your favorite holiday tunes, a fun craft station, and virtual visits with Santa from the North Pole. Please bring lawn chairs and/or blankets to enjoy the concert. The park is a short walk from the Addison Transit Center.
