Calling all Browncoats, Trekkies, True Believers and Walking Dead fans (do you guys have a nickname?)! It's almost time for the
Dallas Comic Con at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center May 16-18. The event features guests from the TV shows "Firefly," "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and "The Walking Dead." Legendary comic book writer Stan Lee and Star Trek star William Shatner will also be there along with many more. Visitors can get autographs, pictures and sit in on question and answer sessions with their favorite guests.
In addition to the celebrities, the event will also have the 'Back to the Future' time machine. Guests can see one of the most famous movie cars of all time and make a donation to a good cause at the same time. Proceeds benefit the
Michael J. Fox Foundation.
There will be about 200,000 square feet of shopping. Visitors can get find DVDs, comic books, memorabilia, original artwork, clothing and toys. And don’t forget the workshops! Listen and learn in sessions with the best in the industry.
Dress up or don’t, the Dallas Comic Con is open to all fans. Ticket prices vary depending on the day. Various packages are also available. The show starts at 4 p.m. Friday, May 16
th.
DART passengers can get to the Dallas Comic Con by taking the Blue or Red line or the
D-Link to Convention Center Station.
