Expect Bus Detours during Dallas' Veterans Day Celebrations

veterans-day-parade-11-11-13_48 Tomorrow is Veterans Day and the festivities begin today with a Pre-Celebration Veterans Day Parade at 10 a.m. The Pre-Celebration Veterans Day Parade steps off at 2111 S. Corinth Street Road (near Illinois Station on the DART Rail Blue Line) and proceeds down Lancaster Road to Patriots Crossing at 4500 Lancaster Road (near VA Medical Center Station). Make sure you’re in the know of the following bus detours and route changes to best plan your trip downtown: Route 405: From Kiest, right on Denley, left on Overton, regular route. Route 444: From Illinois Station, left on Denley, left on Corning, left on Fernwood, left on Oakley, right on Denley, right on Ann Arbor, left on Fernwood, left on Mentor, right on Gracey, left on Atlas, right on Lancaster, regular route. From Ledbetter Station, regular route. Route 445: Eastbound: From Illinois, left on Denley, right into Illinois Station. Westbound: From Illinois Station, left on Denley, right on Illinois. Route 538 West: Outbound: From Illinois Station, left on Denley, left on Elmore, regular route. Inbound: To Illinois Station, from Elmore, right on Denley, right into Illinois Station. Route 538 East: Outbound: From Illinois Station, left on Denley, left on Illinois, regular route. Inbound: To Illinois Station, from Illinois Street, right on Denley, right into Illinois Station. Route 541: From Kiest, right on Denley, left on Overton, regular route.   Honor Veterans in Downtown Dallas Friday The annual Dallas Veterans Day Parade begins Friday, November 11 at 11 a.m. on Main Street in Downtown Dallas. Friday’s procession will begin at Reunion Park, continue north on Houston Street, then east on Main Street, south on Ervay Street, west on Young Street, south on Akard Street and pass in front of City Hall.
