Have you tried out the Las Colinas Area Personal Transit System? More and more passengers are trying out the system with the opening of DART's Las Colinas Urban Center Station serving the Orange Line. NeighborsGo took a deeper look at the system and talked to those using it regularly.
For Rick Stopfer, DART’s Orange Line to Las Colinas and planned connection to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, along with the construction of a Northwest Highway overpass in recent years, is helping bring the city’s original vision to life. Added to that is Irving’s recently approved convention center hotel and an entertainment facility. "So much of this is now starting to come together," he said. Stopfer is chair of the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce’s transportation management association and a DART board member. He has also served on the Irving City Council.
Weekly users of the APT jumped from 500 to 2,600 after the opening of the attached DART Rail station. Las Colinas APT system sees new riders with DART connection [dallasnews.com]
