On July 3, join the Town of Addison for Kaboom Town!
Of all North Texas’ Independence Day celebrations, one of them is an especially big bang. Each year, approximately 500,000 guests from across the country converge on this small town to view the incredible Addison Airport Airshow, followed by a spectacular fireworks display.
Addison Kaboom Town, the city's award-winning festival, takes place inside the gates of Addison Circle Park from 5-11 p.m. With musical performances from the 36th Infantry Division Rock B4 Dawn and Rhythm N' Boots, as well as Emerald City Presents, good times are sure to roll. Cool off in the Guidepost Montessori Kaboom Lagoon with free water attractions and activities for the whole family. Stay later for an After Party with performances from Emerald City All Stars!
If you don't go into the park to watch the fireworks, there are plenty of restaurants, bars, and hotels throughout the city, many of which are hosting some kind of watch party.
Addison Air Show - Don't miss the show before the show!
Keep your eyes on the sky before the fireworks for the Addison Airport Airshow fueled by Million Air Dallas. This year’s Addison Air Show will begin with an exciting choreographed skydive by the Red River Skydivers, which traditionally jump with a massive American flag.
Following the skydiving, viewers will watch history take to the skies as a cadre of historic warbirds fly both alone and in formation. Those historic planes will be joined by state-of-the-art aerobatic planes piloted by some of the country’s leading stunt pilots. The airshow will end shortly after 9 p.m. when pilot David Martin returns to the skies in his twin engine Beech to perform a thrilling pyrotechnic flight which will light up the night sky.
NOTE ABOUT TAKING DART: While Addison Circle Park is an easy walk from DART's Addison Transit Center, please check the bus schedules to ensure you can get back home via DART at the end of your evening.
